On Monday December 17th, a Buffalo Wild Wings opened in Brookfield; it is located off of Highway 94 and Bluemound. The grand opening was much anticipated, anticipated to the extent that people camped out and lined up days before the store opened—not to be discouraged by the below freezing temperature. This was expected with BWW’s promise of Free Wings for a Year.
Free Wings for a Year is a special opening BWW’s promotion. It ensures that the first 100 customers will be given, well, free wings for a year! The lucky 100 receive a coupon booklet that gives them six free wings every week. That’s 312 wings and a 250 dollar value.
Arrowhead High School senior Troy Jonet camped out two days prior to the store opening. He came prepared with his portable DVD player and the entirety of Star Wars movies.
“It was totally worth it for me, I love wings! As far as the weather went, it wasn’t so bad… I bought a pack of hand warmers before setting up camp.”
Jonet plans on going to BWW on a weekly basis.
“People tell me I’m going to be sick of wings within a month, I tell them that’s not even a possibility. Now that I’ve gone through this, I’m not going to waste it,” he says.
Jonet claims it’d be difficult to become sick of BWW’s wings, especially with their 16 available signature sauces.
“My absolute favorite sauce is Asian Zing,” says Jonet.
The Buffalo Wild Wings in Brookfield also has special promotions on a weekly basis. Mondays are Kids Night where kids eat for ninety-nine cents. For Traditional Tuesdays and Boneless Thursdays the specified wings are marked down to sixty cents. Traditional Tuesdays and Boneless Thursdays are offered at BWW nationwide.
The new store has more square footage than any other BWW in Wisconsin. Moreover, it is the only BWW in Wisconsin with a private party room.
The new BWW is open from 11 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
