It might not always be easy to get through all the hardships in my life but striving and working hard will lead me to success. I always wanted to be a nurse and the person that inspired me to go to college is my dad. He didn’t have a lot of opportunities growing up so he always wanted me to do my best. He didn’t want me to struggle like he did when he was growing up. He gave me a lot of motivation and strength. I learned to be more responsible, dedicated, always give my all and try not to give up. I know that in order to go to college and to have a good career I have to be strong. I’m thankful that I had someone that encouraged me to go to college because I know I would be on the wrong path.

Growing up I always knew that I wanted to be a nurse. I didn’t really know a lot about my career so I wasn’t sure what steps I needed to take to pursue my dream. When I first started high school I realized that it takes a lot of hard work. I knew that the first step was graduating high school. During my freshman year of high school I took all the classes that would get me on the right path. Every year was harder but I still tried my best. My grades started to improve more and more because I knew that I was getting closer to graduating. Since I didn’t know a lot about my career I asked my counselor for help. My counselor gave me a lot of information and tips that helped me understand nursing even more. She also wanted me to volunteer in a hospital for my service hours.
