The thought of leaving is on my mind.

Around the corner, what will I find?

Sooner or later, I will surely find out

What college life is all about.

The choices are many, the options are here,

As I continue my senior year.

Visiting colleges is a routine action,

A campus tour could bring satisfaction.

Going down a separate road, somewhere unknown,

I'll soon be leaving the place where I've grown.

Continuing my education will be an incredible thing,

My memories and past, I will bring.

Is this too much to put on my shoulders,

Or is it just a part of growing older?

Meeting new people, learning new things,

Are some of what college will bring.

As college nears, anticipation,

As high school ends, jubilation.
