During the weekly Friday market at Solala, Guatemala, men and women congregate in the town square to discuss recent gossip and exchange live goods. In towns like these, everyone wears traditional clothing, called huipils, patterns handwoven on looms with designs that are unique to the village. This image was taken as the market goers were waiting for the bus to head home with their goods.

This image was honored by the Young Travel Photographer of the Year 2010 Competition.
