no offence but that has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of my photograph. your personal opinion of the subject matter is entirely irrevelant.

Actually, it is relevant, because if the subject is unappealing to the viewer, the viewer will not want to look at your photograph. Therefore, they will not appreciate your photograph.

i have had this photograph published in 2 different magazines so i believe people both enjoy looking at it and appreciate it. thank you.

That photo is meaningful, not unappealing. It's sad, deep, and also nothing like your picture of a bug.
