This is very creative, but you could use some practice with focusing.. the image may have come out better if you'd tried shooting it from a different angle. Remember to try using a variety of different angles when shooting a still-life subject, this will increase your chances of capturing your subject at it's very best.

Otherwise, in my opinion black and white was a good way to go, and I like the theme you aimed for.
