Boating down the old flooded Rice Fields.
We sat back as our boat glided through Magnolia's old flooded ricefield along the Ashley River. We explored the cattail-fringed canals, Alligators, and egrets as they waded along the shore, stalking fish and frogs. The rice is gone, but the history is still alive. It was a great day with my grandmother as she shared the history of the town in which she lives.
