In July of 2014, I went on a cruise in the Adriatic Sea. There were many cities that I visited, all within five different countries: Italy, Malta, Slovenia, Croatia, and Montenegro. Over a span of nineteen days, I found that Europeans live different lifestyles than that of the people that live in the United States, particularly the Northeast. The Northeast is very industrialized, as it has cities like New York City, Philadelphia, Boston, Pittsburgh, etc. But in Catania, Sicily, Italy, the story is very different. While on a tour bus, I snapped this photo of Catania's landscape. Although there are homes, roads, buildings, etc., a large percentage of the land is pure nature, untouched by humans. Quite a serene place it is.
