Conformity

I have recently made a print called “Conformity”, which was extremely hard to do because I had to carve everything backward so I traced the words out on tracing paper, flipped it over and made holes along the lines. It says that the only reward for conformity is that everyone likes you except yourself. I created this because where I live it seems like most people fit into the same mold. Others try to force themselves into that mold in hope that they will become popular. I hope my art will show these people that conformity doesn’t lead to happiness and that it doesn’t matter what others think of you as long as you are happy with yourself.
