Lavender Smile

My acrylic piece, "Lavender Smile" is a monocromatic painting of an individual smiling. I have cropped the piece in a unique way, where only on eye and the corner of the mouth is displayed. I did this to emphasize differant features as a person smiles, such as, the wrinkles under the eyes, the upward curve of the lips, and the apples of the cheeks. I also used the technique of stippling to shade the face.
