I've written a poem called "Shock," which is a "blackout poem." I had to submit this to the art section because of the inclusion of the image. Although I did submit it to the art section, I would like it to be published in the poetry section. The starting of my poem was very interesting. I had a newspaper, I selected an article, and then crossed out words to where the words that were left formed my poem,"Shock." This type of poetry is very unique. I really liked it, and that's why I submitted it. The fact that a grouping of words that describe the most pointless subjects, can form the most deep and meaningful poetry, is astounding to me.
