All of our programs maintain a high level of academic rigor and experiential richness. Certified education professionals and University of Mississippi instructors facilitate student-driven explorations of environmental science, engineering, literature, public policy, visual art, and more.

The University of Mississippi is a community of learning dedicated to nurturing excellence in intellectual inquiry and personal character in an open and diverse environment. Financial aid is available for students with academic talent as well as financial need.

What draws teens to your program?

Students from all over the country and all over the world join us every summer to:

  • Explore interests in the sciences, arts, and humanities that might one day lead to careers. 
  • Challenge themselves academically in the company of talented peers and instructors. 
  • Learn how to adjust to college life on the University of Mississippi's beautiful campus near the historic town of Oxford, MS. 
  • Form friendships with other highly motivated, engaged students. 
  • Become eligible for select scholarships to the University of Mississippi, available only to Pre-College Program participants.

What type of teen attends your program?  

Participants share in common a love of learning and a desire to gain experience studying at a top national university.

Where do your participants come from? 

All over the U.S. and the world.

What's a typical day like? 

Schedules vary depending on program theme and type, but all days end with community time activities led by undergraduate peer counselors. For Summer College participants, weekend trips include visits to Memphis, Birmingham, and Atlanta.

What should participants expect to learn or take away from your program?  

Students will leave with greater confidence in their ability to navigate college and a stronger sense of where their talents might lead them.
