Journalism Camp
The world of journalism is evolving at a rapid speed, so building a solid set of skills around how to create high-quality content is key for teens interested in news and media fields. Our program will not only strengthen these skills, it will add to their portfolio of work as they position themselves for college admissions and beyond. Since journalistic skills go hand-in-hand with components of 21st-century learning, the elements of this program –writing, information gathering, critical reading, and interviewing – are of benefit to all students.
High School Workshop: learn about the importance of journalism through history, hone your interview skills, develop and write feature stories, reviews and more!
Middle School Workshop: learn the basics of story development, interviewing, quality and effective news writing, and more!
