Exploration Summer Programs
Featuring more courses, activities, and trips than any other summer camp or program, Explo is a unique, safe, and supportive summer learning environment. Our students make friends from around the world, discover new interests and abilities, and have fun at every turn.
Why Choose Explo?
For more than 30 years, Explo has brought together bright, curious, and interesting young people from around the globe. Explo provides a range of two- and three-week summer options for students ages 9 to 17. Choose from Explo 360, Explo Focus, and Explo English, or mix and match among all the offerings, and prepare to have a truly amazing summer experience.
The international leader in summer enrichment - and heralded as more diverse than any summer program of its kind - Explo invites students to engage in intellectual inquiry, critical thinking, and spirited adventure as they build independence, fall in love with learning, and make friends from around the world.
Try New Things, Discover New Passions (and a New Way of Living)
At Explo, we believe that every young person is capable of making a significant contribution to the world. Following your passions, developing your talents, and finding new interests are crucial steps in determining what those contributions might be.
Many students try things for the first time at Explo, and we’ve got a great safety net. We make it possible to stretch yourself in ways you have never considered, and to feel comfortable and supported in doing so. If you get into the habit of acting on your curiosity, trying new things will itself become a habit - one that makes life a lot more interesting, meaningful, and fun.
Our Programs
Experience the three-week Explo 360, our two-week Explo Focus, or our three-week language immersion program, Explo English.
Explo 360
Offered on the campuses of Yale University, Wellesley College, and St. Mark’s School, our three-week programs feature the broadest range of course and activity options of any summer program. Explo 360 encourages students to pursue current interests in novel ways and to try many other things that are completely new. This is your chance to leave school year studying behind and engage your body and mind in the ways that you choose.
Explo Focus
These two-week experiences give you the chance to dive in, dig deeper, and explore one special interest during your entire time at Explo. Programs include Explo Foreign Affairs, Explo Chef, Explo Ortho, Explo ER, and Explo Vet.
Explo English
Our newest offering, Explo English, will take place on the campuses of St. Mark’s School (10-12 year-olds) and Wellesley College (13-15 year-olds). Explo English is a three-week program for students who have formally studied English but are still at the early stages of developing conversational skills. Different than most other English language programs, Explo English students work on speaking through hands-on projects and activities.
