ChiArts Summer Camp
K-5 Exploratory Camp
July 9-27, 2018, Mon-Fri, 9am-12pm. Snacks provided. Tuition $600.
Students in Grades K-5 will explore the art of expression in Dance, Music, Theatre and Visual Art through different fun and exciting themes, culminating in a final showcase on Friday, July 27.
ChiArts Jr.
Dance, Theatre, Visual Arts, Band, Guitar, Voice OR Creative Writing
July 9-27, 2018, Mon-Fri, 9am-2pm. Students bring bag lunch. Tuition $750.
Students in grades 6-8 experience what it’s like to be ChiArts scholar-artist! For four hours each day, students are immersed in excellent pre-professional training in the conservatory of their choice, culminating in a final showcase of their work on Friday, July 27. What draws teens to your program? The exploration of art work in a low-pressure but supportive and rigorous environment.
What type of teen attends your program?
All kinds of students join us for our programs! We are looking for a diverse group of artists that value community and expression.
Where do your participants come from?
All over the Chicagoland area.
What's a typical day like?
Our camp day is 9am-2pm. The mornings are dedicated to creating and refining projects, plus a break for snack time. Lunch is at 12:15, where you will get an opportunity to meet with students from all over Chicago. Before the day ends, you may take a field trip to Humboldt Park or the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. The day is all about diving deep into your chosen artistic field while having fun with likeminded students!
What should participants expect to learn or take away from your program?
Students will have a portfolio of work and/or a foundation in their chosen artistic field of study.
