The Death Cure is book #3 from The Maze Runner series. This book is about a boy who has been tested by an organization, which took all of his memory away, but he still doesn't know it. Thomas survived the Maze and The Scorch Trials. Now, he has to find a way out to escape and also save his friends. WICKED has done many horrible things to Thomas, like separating him from his mother. When he got separated from his mother, he was still just a little boy, but that really did hurt him deep, but it also made him very strong and brave. Thomas has no idea why these random people took his memory away and what it is that they really want from him. Ever since the very beginning, Thomas knew that there was something wrong, and that he had to escape no matter what. It was either him getting out for good, or him dying trying to find a way to escape. The author James Dashner did a really good job making this story really realistic and vivid for his readers, and I think that is one of the main things that capture the readers’ full attention and focus. He put a lot of thought and time into this, and not many authors do that these days. These characters are totally different from what I've read before and I really liked that with this novel. This is not your typical story about a man and a woman falling in love for the first time. This is a book about having skills, and most important of all, learning how to survive and risk it all for your loved ones. Every single page is worth it from the beginning, and in my opinion, I think that if people take the time to read it, they will really get a lesson from this, and enjoy it at the very same time. My favorite quotes from the book would have to be the following because it shows a lot of character and a lot of determination:
“Run like your life depends on it. Because it does.”
“The time for lies is over.”

Those quotes make a big part of this book, no only because they are quotes that show bravery and determination, but because at the same time, it gives us a valuable and life-changing skill in case of a similar life situation. This 3rd book really does leave an impact on those who read it because there might be a time when it comes having to run and escape from something in order to save yourself and your family. So I think that this gives a lot of good skills and lessons for everyone to pick up. Please take the time to read it because once you do, I know you won't regret it and you will enjoy every part of it all the way through the end. Once again, I want to give huge props to the author James Dashner for writing such an amazing book for every teenager to read, and to relate to in every aspect of life.
