See everything, Overlook a lot, Correct a little.

In the dark of the room,

Amidst the heavy gloom,

Is one door in the wall,

Separates me from all,

The angry doors are locked,

And my escape is blocked.

“The key to the kingdom

Opens doors to freedom.”

So suddenly I see

A key in front of me!

My portal to the world-

The other side unfurled.

I stepped into the light,

And soon forgot the night.

My first poem: an Iambic Trimeter sonnet I composed for my creative writing class. It's about finding the freedom you had all along, and taking a chance with that freedom. Hope you like it! Tell me what you think in the comment section!
