From red to black
The look on your face
Like candle wax
The difference
In letting go
Or holding on
The colors contrast
I’m late for class
I watched you change
Like candle wax
And feeling your skin
Not seeing your eyes
Once more
You blinked away
The look on your face

And popping your veins
You puffing your chest
The colors contrast
You better think fast
You’ve watched me change
Like candle wax
And you’ve felt my skin
Not seeing my eyes
