Thoughts flow softly as the snow fall

First December flakes upon the roof

Tumbling free we're windblown

Chasing moments that it blew

They always take us by surprise

The longer nights and darker days

But we're open like the sunrise

Feel it warm upon your face

December lights ignite us

We are closer than we know

We find each other neath these winter stars

In each other we find home

We shut our eyes tight to the cold

But can you feel each song

Tread the newly lit up streets

To find where love lives on

December lights ignite us

We are closer than we know

We find each other neath these winter stars

In each other we find home

Weeks have flown into the past

All is still by the fire all is true

Wrap this season round me like a blanket

Hold to warmth, hold to love, hold to you

December lights ignite us

We are closer than we know

We find each other neath these winter stars

In each other we find home

I'm so in love with this beautiful holiday season and the joy it brings in the midst of a particularly dark winter.
