the moon
the open blue dark
holds me close
the stars open up
like windows in the sky
the bright light
shining through
then the pale moonlight disappears
and the sky fills with fire
the atmosphere closing around me
strangling me
i chase the receeding darkness
for miles and miles
until i am overcome
with exhaustion
then the sun sinks
back into her earthen grave
and the moon rises once again
her dark sky my disguise
and once again
i can roam her
gloomy fields

I feel like we have started to forget nature. Sure, we have all the recycling programs under the sun, but we have lost touch with the Earth. The wonders that come from the Earth are more impressive than we will ever encounter if we stay stagnant and stay on our phones, gradually letting our world become overcome with abandonment.
