Music Box

January 12, 2018

Click, click, click,
Fingers guiding the violin,
Toes gliding the ground,
Eyes admiring my beauty
For I twist, jump, and spin.
Click, click, click,
Even though my small grin,
my prayers in the dark resound.
Rusty gears are still on duty,
Keeping me trapped within.
Click, click, click,
No matter the sin,
my fame doesn’t get wounded,
but my hidden tears are sooty,
sorrow that is dulling my skin.
Click, click, click,
I am sick being so thin,
I am done being abound,
Being a cutie,
Motioned to the mandolin.
Click, click, click,
I am about to fall into tailspin,
Almost like a merry-go-round.
I may sound snooty,
I won't take loneliness on the chin.
Boom, crack, crash.
You will see me win,
my soul becoming unbound,
Free from stone-cold cruelty,
My heart of flesh's beating begins.
Ba-Bump, Ba-Bump, Ba-Bump.
