The Completeness of Infinity

Death faded into the gray,
mourned with souls harvested
like golden wheat on a blue day,
cocooned in the vise of the restless,
long cast away.

Worlds collided around,
heaven, hell, nothing at all.
Earth was just downtown,
a pretty window display,
as Life continued, homebound.

Pain lost sight,
blinded by generosity,
enveloped in pure white,
vision given to open eyes
newly embracing soft moonlight.

Seams of matter unraveled one by one,
ripped by Time in a frenzy,
Illuminated by a glimpse of midnight sun.
Constellations cried in separation,
a fact that couldn’t be undone.
