White Noise
I listened out for white noise, over thinking
One look at you was worth it
All the mockery, laughter
Was worth nothing against you
But when I was alone it’d eat at my patience
When I was with you, the white noise was barely audible against your laughter
It should’ve never got to me
What we had, no one knew of
Brought me back from the dead
Held me together at my worst moments
My safety net that caught me when I fell
The white noise was as white as the people
Annoying as ever
The home you gave me in your heart was worth more than their lives
You made me come together again
Only God could make that happen
You were no God but you had the soul of his
