"I'm well acquainted with villains that live in my head."

Your fingers
Laced
Between
My own,
My back
Thrown
Against the wall...
Your body
Pressed to
My front.

Warm.

Comforting.

Protective.

With a smirk
You lifted my
Hands,
Forcing my
Arms
Over my head.

You looked at me
For a moment
And then leaned
Forward,
Pressing
Your lips
To mine.

My heart
Slammed
Into my
Ribcage,
And I tried
To find
Where you
Ended
And I
Began.

When you
Pulled
Back
We were
Breathless
And you
Murmured
Something
About
How I
Was such
A good kisser.

I blushed
And you kissed
Me again.

You and I...

We were
Something
Of a
Romeo
And Juliette,
And I
Was your
Juliette.

And then
The day came
When you
Decided
To cut
It
Off...
And I cried
And your
Resolve
Broke.
You lifted
My chin
And kissed me,
Apologizing
And saying
You were
Wrong.
That you
Could never
Leave me.

And we lasted
A little while
Longer.
You said you
Loved me.

Whether or not
That was true
At any point,
I knew one thing:
I loved you back.

But eventually
We did
Break it off,
And we faded
Into nothing.

Until you
Wanted to try
Again.

And I agreed
To give it
Another shot.

The end
Of the same
Day came,
And I waited for
You
So we could
Walk together,
Maybe find
The time
To steal
Another kiss.

Another thousand
Sparks
Fizzing on
My skin.

When I saw you,
I walked over
With a smile.

But you
Didn’t
Stop.

You kept going,
Telling me
Without eye
Contact
Or even
Glancing
In my direction
That you
Were dating
Someone else now.

And you kept
Walking
Without a goodbye
Or a final glance
Over your shoulder
As I stood
Shellshocked
At your rejection.

You didn’t look
Back once…

But god knows
I have;
Over and over.

Sleepless nights
Spent wondering
What was
Wrong with me.

What was
Wrong,
What was
Wrong,
What was
Wrong!

And then
I remembered
The way you
Would look at
Me...
Hungrily.

The time
I was laying
On my back
Before break
In Algebra,
And you…

You put
Your foot
Between
My legs
And pressed
Down.

And I squirmed,
Heat rushing
Into my face
As I tried
To figure out
If I
Should move
Or not.

And I did.

And it’s
Just as
Well, because
I know now
Just how low
You thought
Of me.

I was never
The jealous type,
I’m still not.
And you took
Advantage of
That.

Numerous
People you
Cheated on
Me with.

I discovered
Every single one
With time.

But I was
Too defeated
To care.

I loved you,
I cared
For you.

And that…
That was how
You handled
My heart.

Well I don’t care.
I don’t
Need you.

I’ll wait
For the
Right person…
Whoever it
Is.

Someone who
Won’t string
Me along and
Throw me
On the ground
Without even
Looking me in
The eye.

Without looking
At me at all.

Someone
Who deserves
Me,
And someone
Who I deserve.

Because
After all that,
I’d be a fool
To fall
For those
Same tricks
Twice.

That would be majestic. And the Nutella is a nice touch, as well.

Oh. Okay. Well I can still totally shove warm butter down her pants if you want. That would still be embarrassing. I can just go grocery shopping, I can even throw a little nutella in there for pizzazz. Girl, if I knew she cheated... whoo. That butter and chocolate incident would have happened two years ago.

Romeo and Juliet was one of my favorite plays, I love how you tied that in, by the way Logan. Priceless. Applause. I respect you.

@KawaiiCooper HELLO BEST FRIEND IT IS KATIE. First of all, this is an absolutely beautifully stunning poem, and it beat my some of mine in popularity. And I care about you Logan, how could he did this to you? (And if you want me to I will give him some mockery. Don't you _even_ worry girl... I will shove a stick of warm butter down his pants. Then we will then see how egotistical he really is then.) Oh, but Logan! tsk, tsk, tsk. OH. MY. GAWD. You finally made a (very small, unrecognizable to the public) ERROR. You spelled Juliet from the play of The Great Shakespeare like Juliette. But truly, I am still in love with this poem, despite the easily editable error. However, this poem... it was *truly a wonderful piece of an effortless poetic beauty.* XD p.s. I am always here for you, beautiful. Friends will be here 'till the end, boyfriends... not so much. Plus you know you can always tell me which google docs to go to this weekend, and I will sit there on my computer and talk to you for as long as you need. (Not that you need it, you are the strongest independent woman I know.) -Much Love, Katie
