Summer Songbird

A little birdy once told me,
"to love is to let go,"
and all the problems we encounter
are simply just for show.
He fluttered through my window,
like a leaf caught in a breeze,
and told me if I lift my wings
I'll be all I can be.
He pranced around my bedroom edge,
and whispered secret rhymes,
but soon the breeze swept by again-
He'll be back in time.
