The Lively Dark Sky

A village packed with homes and cliffs lies
dreaming in silence
Inside homes, candles burn brightly
children are quietly sleeping
then, the lights go dark
Meanwhile,
a lively night sky is taken up by large spinning swirls
glowing, shining
and breathing life
into the vast space
Flowing in and out of
the picture
slowly growing and shrinking
But who is awake to witness the magnificence?
