I want to live a life of adventure
and travel the world;
see every spectacular sight it has to offer.

I want to live out of an overflowing suitcase
stained with souvenirs of everywhere
I've been-
leaves from the Amazon Rainforest;
sand from Spanish beaches;
grass from an African Safari;
water from the Great Barrier Reef.
I haven't been everywhere yet,
but it's on my list.

I want to learn languages
by being immersed in the countries
in which they are spoken
and meet the faces of the cultures
that thrive there.

I want to wear clothes
woven with threads
that have been cherished with tradition,
and dance to the rhythms
pouring out of the souls
who make the music their own.

I want to walk the earth
that sits on every continent
and swim in all the seas.

I want to chase the sunset
across the plains,
up the mountains,
and down into the valleys.

I want to live bursting with
the knowledge that I learned
from living- from seeing-
and be as free as a bird.

Give me silver wings to fly
and I will fly anywhere.

Everywhere.
