"Kids that wear black and listen to rock music aren't all satan worshippers or terrible people."
- Andy Biersack

Wind blows freely through my hair
A few loose strands dance around my head
Blow leaves free from their branches
As they cascade peacefully to the newly green grass

The last of the wintery chill is gone
Replaced by the balmy sensation of spring
The sun beats down on children’s heads
Warms their smiles, laughter floating through the air

Cherry blossoms in bloom
Their pale pink petals coating the ground
The sweet smelling aroma fills my nose
The smell of spring has arrived

Free from confining winter coats
From bone-chilling wind
Free from red cheeks, and cherry noses
No more highs so low your fingers go numb

Smiles brighter, laughter clearer
As the end of the year gets nearer
Girls’ excitement for Prom night reaches a high
If only they didn’t have to say goodbye

Trees sway gently in the balmy breeze
Grass becomes soft and lush
We sit outside basking in the sun’s glow
Welcoming spring with a friendly hello
