Don't be afraid to show the world who you really are.

Brown crusted roots grow from my heart.

They connect to my eyes, heart, mind

and soul. Devouring my thoughts and

engulfing my mood swings. My humanity

is stolen from me as well as my ability to

control it.

Just who am I?

This person is not me.

The roots are eating me alive and

locking my powers away. My dalight

is gone as well as my mentality.

Have I lost the battle for good?

My tears cause them to grow.

They grow almost everyday. Will the

gardener ever come to cut them, or

will I live with this burden for the rest of my life?

My daylight is stolen as well as my

mentality. Have I lost the battle for good?

Brown crusted roots grow from my heart.

Devouring my thoughts and engulfing my

mood swings. My humanity is stolen from me

as well as my ability to control it.

Just who am I?

This piece came to my mind when I was reminiscing about how the inner emotions can cause the sense of mind to abandon it's main focus in trying to help you understand yourself, but instead cause you to become a walking root. A person with almost no emotions at all.
