i have a red balloon(clasped between
each finger) it floats above(everyone,
each person that passes by; people look
up to her in the air, to my balloon)

it floats
so delicately(tickling and touching the sky) tied down
but flying free(she is my friend, my
favorite one)
the sun shines bright upon her and
through her
she speaks whole and true things

spectators would never know
(a string with a knot, the knot on some rubber
and gas in the rubber; life inside matter
or purpose in the pieces)
under her skin it is vacant, nothing to
weigh upon her
