Favorite Quote:
A dead man once told me, "To thine own self be true."

Colors dance in my world
They swirl and morph in my perception
Closed eyes bring darkness and security, shelter
But when they are opened
The earth’s beauty is revealed to me in full light
Without holding back any subtle hues

I go from the valley of night to the top of a mountain
Crying in the morning sun
Reveling as my tears and the dew become one
And the sky becomes one inspiring palette of blues, purples—
It’s too much for human comprehension

And this is why I leave my eyes open
I need to see all that the world has to offer my existence
I want to witness the beauty and twirl in the darkness
Remembering the colors of the mountain,
I’ll close my eyes and hold onto the pureness of the Earth

May every day resemble the sunrise on the hills
Where all man can witness the wonderful creation of the world,
Like it was in the beginning.
We shall keep this feeling in our hearts, our minds
So even when our eyes are closed because of the monsters of life
We will be able to weep
For we hold the memories of color

I will hold onto this beauty for distant, dismal days
For the moments when hope is practically lost
And for the seconds that are spent without peace
Open your eyes and see the colors of the world
Look upon the fantastic and the lowly with the same feeling
Color will give everything new meaning
New feeling
New perception.

I was putting it together in my head and it didn't turn out the way I expected. Still, I think it turned out well.
