"Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing." -Benjamin Franklin

Girls like them long
Boys like them short,
They flutter them as in a love song;
They paint our world- they’re art.

We like to go against nature sometimes
For there is different types of them,
There’s fake ones that make your eyes look like limes;
Let them grow like a little stem.

Nature loves you my dear!
So let there be more real ones that come from the trees;
Let’s all be in joy and cheer!
Let the buzzing begin with the beautiful bees!

Your eyes are closed and they pop up!
They’re your eyelashes!
Laying in a sweet cup,
Eyelashes that will turn into ashes…

This poem was inspired by another proem about smiles. This actually was one of my poetry assignments last month. I hope everyone has a good laugh while reading this!

Strange title but I liked the concept found myself laughing when I realized it was about eyelashes.
