I crave it—
That most desirable thing.
Maybe it’s too late.
Maybe it’s too soon.


I almost had it (a few times),
But it faded away.
Maybe it’s me.

I fall too hard, too fast.
People try to stop me,
But my heart can’t say no.
Why must I fall so fast?

I want to love and be loved;
To be half of a whole.
But maybe it’s too soon.
Or maybe it’s me.
