You can't be strong when you're meant to be broken.
You have to let your heart pour open.

We're trying to be strong for each other,
but inside we're filled with lightning and thunder.

Unfortunately, we're stuck in this awful drought.
No rain will come falling out.

We keep the emotions bottled within
but that is not the way to win.

So, my dear family I beg of you.
Let the tears come flowing through.

Stop telling yourself its okay
because this isn't a hurtful game.

Thunder needs to boom and lightning needs to strike.
Stop putting up a useless fight.

Let the rain fall from the clouds
and bring life to this empty drought.

Because after a dangerous storm
when you're not broken anymore,

a rainbow will light up the daylight sky
and bring peace to a once isolated night.
