What is the way of the world?
Wondered man to the vastness above him

Come
Chase me
Cried the sun to the moon
Energize me
Asked the tree of the sun
Grow me
Told the fruit to the tree
Feed me
Begged the animal to the fruit
Discard me
Said the seed to the animal
Grow in me
Offered the ground to the seed
Catch me
Called the water to the ground
Form me
Breathed the cloud to the water
Hide me
Said the moon to the cloud
Chase me … called the sun to the moon …

The miracles happened
As they do every day
But this time
Man was curious
He
Wondered

He drew a circle with his finger
In the dirt
He looked up
Into the shining sky of stars
And he pondered the secrets of the Universe

Then he stood up
Went into his shelter

And turned the television set on …

While outside
A million miles away
Chase me
Sang the sun to the moon

I like the rhythm and repetition- it echoes the rhythms and patterns of nature. Good work.
