I am a wave
That will never reach the shore
You are a child
That won't look at the water
We are held back
By the chains of doubt
Useless, anxious, lost, and afraid
But hope awaits us both
The wave sees the shore ahead
The child senses the salty water
We both inch forward
Facing the reality of our fears
