In a far off land, the cold queen sat,
She wore a matching large black dress and hat,
Made within her lace garb were the most expensive stones
But all knew, the only thing she shared was her glare – which chilled you to the bone

She had a small face with a small nose and mouth and icy blue eyes,
No one dares disturb her as she gazes out the window to the skies,
For though she is tiny, and cute at first glance,
Everyone knows that few live if they break her trance

In anger, she favors few and spares no others,
As she looks away from the window, her eyes turn to darker colors,
A signal, as if thunder was heard, the danger has come
Because once she looks from the window she is no longer numb

She feels the stone walls around her and knows there’s no escape
So she lashes out, bares her fangs, and makes the villagers gape,
As everyone backs away, leaves, she knows this is her fate,
So she looks back to the sky, icy blues filled with tears, but she holds her head up straight
