I understand exactly what you’re up against.
The blank stares at the wall,
The look in your eye that says
your mind is really somewhere else
when it should be here,
concentrating on the task at hand.
I understand.
When people come up to you
and ask you if you’re ok.
You say yes,
And you don’t understand why
they’d think you weren’t.
You were in your own world,
that’s all.
A world full of witches,
and fish;
of princesses
and magic rings.
You’ve created a story
that you’re dying to tell,
one full of love
and magic
and adventure,
one unlike any other.
I understand,
and I’m here to tell you
that you must write.
