What I Would Hope For

I miss you my love with my deepest desire
Our passion together lit my heart on fire
Why can’t we forgive, is it so hard to tell
That we would work out, together so well
I’m tired of pretending that it’s all okay
Why can’t you just listen to what I must say?
Those three little words that are so hard to find
“I love you”, long pause then; “I hope you don’t mind.”
We’d laugh then I’d wait and just blush for a while
Then hope you’d do one thing for me and just smile
