they call us teens
and stare us down
but we're there futer
when there not around
punishment is harsh
love ir rare
they call it tough love
but we know ther'e scared
yes they have lived longer
and went through more
but give us a chance
what are we here for
our life has just started
so teach us whats great
not pain and suffering
that doesnt have to be our fate

your learning just like us
theres more to this planet
as humans we do what were tought
but we also pick and choose

are you showing us what we could loose
war goes on forever
between humans just alike
what have they tought us
just because were diffrent doesnt mean we have to fight
each nation kills the other
but we all see death the same
you've killed the one you love
you have only yourself to blame
the next generation comes
and they get a summery
of the things that didnt last
