Let the dreams take me
Into their cold embrace.
Wash away the daymares
Of that horrible scene.
Hollow screams consume me
Drawing me into their depths.
Trapped in the echoes
Of horrors now long past.
Empty time elapses
Hoping for a reprieve
From the repeating memories
That have taken hold of me.
Silently I scream.
Unshed tears hidden behind dead eyes.
Wishing for an end –
To the memories of that night.
