Your eyes sliced through me like lightning
Leaving your mark in the back of my mind
You weren’t wanted but rather needed.
My therapist, lover, and my ground all in one
Without you I would be invisible.
I would much rather make a shadow with you.
When we walk the leaves fall
and people watch.
Father Time
And Mother Nature
Happen to make a perfect storm.
