I walk through the forest, the many things I hear, smell, and feel
Looking up to the green leaves in the trees I’m spinning myself around like a wheel
The smell of the bark on the trees and the earth surrounds my nose
The lilies turn and show off with their pose
The soft and moist ground, squish under my bare feet
The plants, animals, and I seem like we want to meet
The entrance me in their spell
For as to what I can tell
The light filters through the branches and leaves above
See where we can be hereinabove
The smell of the freshness of leaves and moss
From the bathymetry to the surface of the pond looks of gloss
The crackling branches that I walk upon
And far away a mother doe waking up its fawn
The earthy smell of beginnings and endings
The last thing I hear is the voice of the wren as it sings

My inspiration for this piece was my love of nature. Everyday it seems as though something is new and magnificent. I hope people see why nature shouldn't be taken for granted and by actually sitting down taking the scenery in, can change someone's perspective on it.
