You float around my thoughts much to my surprise,
The forbidden love we hold could pose such questions.
A life spent running from hell and terrible nightmares,
The life we can't have may hold blissful memories.
Secrets create an interesting twist to my sheltered life,
And forbidden feelings take my heart on a journey,
As I slumber a frail voice I hear call,
Begging me to come, will I ever learn?
The life I live has no room for trust,
So who cares about the feelings of the author?

This one was a creative exercise in my writing class. We were given a notecard with ten words on it. These words were the last words of each line in our poems. This is what I came up with.
