   He sits there by himself,

forever just observing

and since nobody likes him

then, he must be undeserving.

He thinks he's something horrible,

and no one understands -

He basks in silent misery,

his head upon his hands.

The cruelty of his classmates

and the heartless things they say!

Pain and humiliation

are with him every day.

He sits alone in the lunchroom

and kids aren't discreet at all.

It breaks my heart to watch him struggle

not to let tears fall.

He's learned to be suspicious

of all those who seem kind;

he's not USED to being treated

like a human, with a mind!

He's just been hurt too many times

by kids who didn't know

the damage they were doing

to his wounded, hopeful soul.

mollie, im not trying to say anything bad abut you, but im just wondering

you say you would never treat a human being like this, but do you talk to this kid in your school? do you try to smile, make his day a little better, or do you just ignore him? if you walk on by him, and ignore him, then you hurt him just as much as the people who belittle him.

This reminds me of a kid in my school. It's so sad, I'd never treat another person that way.
