I can partly agree to Ellis Donaghey's article, Why "13 Reasons Why" Fails, mainly due to his insight on the issue revolving the show's main character Hannah. In the article, he mentions that "13 Reasons Why" can "cement the idea that asking for help is pointless." His statement is only partly true becuase a character in the show named Clay is conserned with Hannah, and wants to help her, but it is Hannah who tells Clay to leave her alone. Clearly, there is something wrong with Hannah which is why I agree with Ellis's thought that Hannah may have a mental illness. Thank you Ellis for giving your insight on "13 Reasons Why."
