I can relate to Nandini K. when she wrote about skinny body shaming in her article. I remember a family gathering in which a family remember told me that I should be eating 3 plates of food instead of just one because I was too "fragile that I could break any second". Imagine how that made me feel. When Gaborone states that "our self-worth is determined by our ability to meet in-vogue body goals" I strongly agree. Everyday we battle with ourselves because we try to meet the world's expectations. especially from ongoing trends. It comes two ways: being either too "thick" or too "skinny". As people, we must learn to accept each other despite our indifferences and minor flaws. Personality and uniqueness is what makes us human.
