Storyteller's Guild

A realistic world with some "otherly" aspects if appropriate to the story/feel. A group of jorunalists, storytellers, and writers form an underground group dedicated to bearing witness to the world that surrounds us. The beauty, the beast, and that which fades into the background, this band of misfits chronicles, inturperts, and decodes everything so that the world may know the "Human Experience" in its truest form.

If this sounds like something you want to do, post away! Looking to make meaningful characters so they should have---> Name: Age: Appearance:(as in-depth or superficial as you want) Specialty:(what type of storytelling do you prefer? What is your medium?) Personality:(what makes you unique? any special quirks or talents?) Favorite Story:(character's favorite writing, song, story, etc. I find this gives them a fun flavor)

Any questions? Feel free to ask! I look forward to something fun!

Hello @WiftyFarce, I would LOVE to write this story with you! It sounds like an amazing idea. Below is my character idea.

Name: Ida
Age: 17
Appearance:
Hair- Brown and short, always falling into her face
Eyes- Hazel
Build- Petite
Height- 5'2''
Specialty: Journalism
Personality: Ida is a young storyteller with a troubled past who has grown up resisting anyone who tries to help her. While she is talented, she has no sense of empathy, which makes it impossible for her to write fictional works or infuse any sort of feeling into her writing. She lacks any sense of her own mortality and will often run head-on into a situation without fully analyzing it, making her a daring and inquizative journalist who will go to extreme measures to get a story. She also had no sense of what it means to care about someone or be cared for and guards herself against anything personally intrusive.
Favorite Story: Ida has two favorite stories which appeal to both sides of her.
1. The Raven by Edgar Allen Poe (This poem appeals to Ida because it describes the heartache her life as been filled with and gives her motivation to keep people out of her personal life for fear of losing them.)
2. Cinderella (From a young age, Ida was on her own. The story of Cinderella always made her feel as though everyhting would turn out alright. And made her feel as though someday she could let herself be loved despite everything that happened to her.)

I love building characters, and I've been looking for a collaboration.

Name: Marissa
Age: 19
Appearance: Dark mahogony, wavy, long hair, porcelain skin, gray eyes, 5'8", heart-shaped face, slightly curvy figure, small nose, full pink-toned lips, full dark eyebrows, always wearing a red lip and winged liner, a fan of mixing military and feminine styles, almost always in heels
Speciality: Poetry(Free verse primarily)
Personality: Marissa is an old soula nd fascinated with the past. She loves to express tales of tragic and dark love stories. She assists her mother at the family owned salon and has always taken a liking to beauty and fashion. she particularly likes to create vain characters and explore the faults of always wanting to be perfect. She has never been particularly popular or really been open to many people;however, she has always had a longing for connection with a friend, but mostly with a romantic partner. She has never felt a real love and is a hopeless romantic losing hope with romance.
Favorite story:
1." The Highwayman"- the tragic love story appeals to her passion for dark romance and love of poetry. When Bess sacrifices herself, it appeals to the romantic in her.
2.The Great Gatsby- She has always loved Gatsby and connected with his character the most. She understands his want for a better life, and his eternal infatuation with Daisy. She resents Daisy for falling out of love and choosing vanity or romance
