I was wondering if anyone here has any world building sheet they prefer to use? Any questions they think are best to answer? I'm trying to round out a fantasy universe and want some help!!

There's a thread in Collaborative Writing called Building a World, I think, and I posted a lot of world-building stuff there. I can also help you individually, but I'd need to know what kind of story (era, characters, etc.) to help. Most world-building sheets kind of suck.

Ah, really sorry-- I didn't see this! Yeah, sure, I'll help. What's it you need specifically?

I haven't been online in a while!! Oops!

Well, I most need help with the history of the world itself -- don't know how far back I should go, don't know much in general. The world mostly centers around the two main countries, one more mountainous and the other a desert, and they have been warring off and on for a long time (think like France and England used to), but I don't know much about culture, or about the politics, or motives, or anything else. Geography and such is down -- this is the big point. It sets the stage for the story.

History: go back as far as necessary. What wars happened in the past, what rulers were there-- what affects today, basically, is what you need. As for culture and all that specifically... are you basing it on any countries or empires, or starting from scratch?
