Timmy came home after his baseball game, pleased with himself. He had scored a homerun at the final moment and was tossed around by his teammates. It been a good day today.

When he came to his home, something felt wrong, as if no one was there now. He opened the door.
It was dark in the living room. All doors were closed except for the front door. Only a lamp was lit, and the switch for turning on the living lights was broken. He could see the gifts laid out for him, and a chocolate birthday cake, his favorite.
Then he heard a footstep close by. He felt scared. He wanted to call for his mom, dad, or anybody, but he couldn’t say anything.
Then he heard a tap behind him.
He turned around.
There was a door, opened and his mom appeared. She had a knife in her hand.
Timmy dropped the bat.
“How do you like the view here, dear” said Timmy’s mother

I was a little confused with the ending, but overall I like the story.
